I've driven through parts of the Wheatbelt at night and I've wondered if I am inadvertently driving through forbidden country. Are the spirits of old still lurking in the dark corners, just out of sight? Probably - there are many places where I feel I can't stay, because I've trespassed.

This piece was made from recording various appliances using an electromagnetic microphone. These are signals we usually can't hear unless summoned through a conduit. Perhaps it's the same thing with the old spirits.
